How To Track & Log Your Macros The Easy Way

 

Many have asked how to easily track your food and adjust your percentages in macros in MyFitnessPal, so here’s a video to help you do that.  MyFitnessPal app is available on Apple and Android.

(Mobile app users should log in using the same username and password they use in the app, when visiting the site). Log in to http://www.myfitnesspal.com in a web browser Click “My Home”, then “Goals”, then click the Change Goals” button at the bottom of the page.
 
1. With your MyFitnessPal app open, click on the settings icon located in the upper left-hand corner of the screen. It’s the icon with the three horizontal lines.
2. From the menu that appears click on ‘Goals’.
3. This page will allow us to change a number of different things but the one we need to find is ‘Calorie and Macronutrient Goals’.
4. Tap on ‘Calories’. Enter the new calorie goal and hit ‘Save’.
5. To change your Macronutrients tap on ‘Carbs’ or ‘Proteins’. Scroll the wheel for each macro and remember everything must equal out to 100%.

How do I make my diary visible to other users?

To allow others to view your diary, you must adjust your Diary Sharing settings. 

On the Web

  • Click “My Home” then “Settings” then “Diary settings”.

In the Android, iPad and iPhone apps

  • In the Menu (or “More” page) tap “Settings” then “Sharing & Privacy” then “Diary Sharing.”

Select your preference from “Public,” “Friends Only”, or “Locked with a key” and save your changes.

 

At the end of the day, when you have finished logging your diary, select “Complete This Entry.” This will create a convenient “View Diary” link on your friends’ news feed, if this option has not been changed in your News Feed Privacy settings.  

Friends can also visit your profile page at any time and select “View Diary.” To visit a friend’s profile:

  • Click “My Home” then “Friends” then click on a friend in the list. Or, enter a profile’s URL directly in your browser’s address bar: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/<INSERT_USERNAME_HERE>

In the iPhone, iPad and Android apps

  • Tap the “Friends” page, and select your friend from the list.
